I followed a one day cooking course in july. We had a small group of 6 people from all over the world. I really likes the way the cooking course was given. Very relaxing. First they show you how to do, and later on you try it all yourself. The tour to the local marked was very interesting too! The guide explained all the weird ingredients to us. Now I'm back home and use your cooking-bible again and again. Look for the pictures and the story (in dutch) on my webiste on july. Thumbs up for this marvellous day!

I recently attended the one-day course and found it to be a very enjoyable and informative day. I now have returned home to Australia and just last night cooked my very own Thai green curry, with my own curry paste, and it was delicious. One note: I reduced the amount of coconut cream/milk by almost a half, but should have added the exact amount of curry paste instead of only adding 2/3. I look forward to using my new skills to create wonderful meals and can highly recommend the course to anyone who loved Thai food and wants to enjoy it when they return to their own country. Well done, gaps! And thanks for the certificate, too.

Unfortunately, Gap's House was full when we called from the airport. Not to worry, Gap's House 2 took us in. What a great deal!! Very friendly staff, free use of bicycles (which came in VERY handy), and the location was quiet. A little out of the way, if you are interested in being on the East side of the Old City instead, but the bikes made it bearable, and gave us great exercise. Did the cooking school for one day, and have been using the cookbook already since I've been back home. I'd definitely recommend staying there AND attending the cooking school.

What an amazing place to stay for Songkran! Our room in Gap's house was beautiful and the staff as friendly and helpful as anywhere in Thailand. I recommend the eggs scrambled in the morning.

This note is very belated, but we stayed at Gap's House in September of 2003 as part of our honeymoon in Thailand. What an absolutely gorgeous place, an oasis of calm and cool in the middle of Chiang Mai. The rooms were beautiful, the setting so exotic, and the staff was so friendly. They were helpful in arranging a few things for us, including an amazing trek, while we were in the city. We love the location of Gap's House, right by a wat and close to the city wall and really had a great time. Thanks for being such a wonderful place and we hope you'll have a room for us when we come back.

My daughter had a wonderful time attending the two day cooking school. It's amazing how much we could learn in two days. The first day started with a trip to the market, and instructions in what ingredients are appropriate, and how to choose. Classes are small and our dishes were superb! We had so much we were able to return to our tour (not a part of Gap) and share with them. All were jealous!

The cooking course was wonderful. It's great to go to the markets to find out what everything is that you're been eating. The food on the course is yummy and there was so much there was no way you could eat it all. There are wonderful little helpers in the background that Chop and Prepare so you can do maximum cooking Thanks for every thing

Thank you to Eddie and all the Gap's staff for a wonderful stay in Chiangmai. We loused our room, breakfast, the vegetarian night buffet sitting at the bar where we met some great people. The 2 day trek was fantastic and a lot of fun with much less chirpy collie than expected and the cooking class was amazing. Now will have to go and practice the wonderful dishes that we learned to cook.... are the best and hopefully will be back in the future.

Gap's Cooking class is truly wonderful. Visiting the market was an education in itself and the facilities were very impressive. The one-on-one attention from the chef and attendants was intense and highly informative. The information will be useful when I get home and I have to say the food we made was the best I've had in Thailand so far! I highly recommend it - and make sure you're hungry!

Gap's House is the most relaxing guesthouse we've visited during our trip in Thailand. Eddie's Cookery class is excellent! I don't know which was the biggest challenge, cooking all the Thai dishes or eating the mountains of food we prepared!
